Bushfire Appeal: Helping Our Communities In Need

LJH-Foundation.png

As volunteers and firefighters battle bushfires on the frontline, we want to do what we can to support the communities affected by the devastating fires raging across our states and territories.

New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia are in a state of emergency in response to the bushfires. While Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania are on high alert with extreme temperatures causing catastrophic fire danger conditions, increasing the threat to several communities.

Everyone has been impacted by this disaster in some shape or form, especially our offices in Taree, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Old Bar Beach, Laurieton, Harrington, Coffs Harbour and Peregian Beach. Our hearts go out to you and your communities.

Today we launch the LJ Hooker Foundation Bushfire Appeal with proceeds going directly to the Australian Red Cross to assist our bushfire-affected communities.

Putting people first is at the heart of everything we do; so, please give generously this season to the LJ Hooker Foundation Bushfire Appeal, as giving back in a small way can go a long way for someone in need.

As of Thursday 21 November:

  • Four lives have tragically been lost

  • Approx. 49 fires burning in NSW, 80 across Queensland and 40 in South Australia

  • At least 155 homes destroyed, with that number expected to rise

  • Hundreds of thousands of hectares destroyed

  • Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania bracing for ‘catastrophic’ fire danger conditions

LJ Hooker Foundation is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission.

100 YEARS OF REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE MERGE TO CREATE EASTERN SUBURBS SUPER BRAND.

Media Release, January 22, 2019

Over 100 years of real estate experience have come together this month to create a new super office in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Two of Sydney’s top real estate agencies; Bill Malouf’s LJ Hooker Double Bay, operating since the mid-1950s, and LJ Levi, established in 1978 and led by Mark Meyer, will join forces and become LJ Hooker Double Bay Group, with office locations in Double Bay and Rose Bay.

Both offices will bring their own core strengths to the merger to form a real estate powerhouse. Mr Malouf has over 31 years’ of experience selling in the Eastern Suburbs and is renowned for specialising in prestige property and negotiations. While Mr Meyer has over 25 years’ of experience in the local area leading a successful property management team and project marketing team.

The Directors place utmost importance on delivering an exceptional customer experience to their clients, and according to Mr Malouf, this shared passion was what sparked the initial discussions.

“The customers experience has always been our number one priority at LJ Hooker; we endeavour to always offer our vendors, buyers, tenants and landlords a great experience and Mark and his team operate with the same conviction,” Mr Malouf said.

The two teams will create one of the largest agencies in the East with a strong foundation in top-end selling, rental leasing and project marketing according to Mr Meyer.

“Bringing some of the best real estate agents and property managers under the one brand, with even better systems and processes, technology and a focus on digital marketing will inevitably mean our team will be able to focus on what they do best; listing, negotiating, leasing and selling property,” Mr Meyer said.

Under the super brand, LJ Hooker Double Bay Group will offer sales and property management services across both locations and the wider Eastern Suburbs area, which will give clients a holistic service under the one team.

Plus in an exciting move the agency will introduce a new business expansion spanning project marketing, which will allow investors to experience a host of in-house opportunities, from feasibility advice through to expert project marketing services, VIP opportunities and exclusive offerings to the brands valued clients.

According to Mr Malouf, the feedback about the merger from past and current clients has been extremely positive.

“Our clients have wholeheartedly endorsed the move to bring the two brands together,” he said.

“We are extremely grateful to our loyal, worldwide client base and thank them for their ongoing support in both businesses. We have families who come back to us regularly and also recommend us to their relatives and friends. This belief in our services is deeply appreciated.”
